Do you know how to hoist a climber up a route? What about if they are unconscious? Do you know how to escape the system and get help? Can you abseil past a knot? Ascend a rope? How do you belay your partner if you’ve dropped your belay device in the sea?
This course was run a few years ago and following its success we have invited UK instructor Stu Bradbury back over again this year to run a two day self-rescue course. The course will go over a range of scenarios and situations that could arise whilst climbing on the sea cliffs of Jersey and hopefully arm you with enough knowledge to be able to problem solve some of them.
Pre-requisites before signing up for this course are knowledge of leading/placing gear and how to build anchors.
Sign up by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested.
Further details will be sent out to the confirmed participants before the course.
*Please note if you are coming on the May Font Trip and coming on this course you will be returning from font and starting this course the next day.
